We’ve got a hosepipe ban now so I’m having to let my petunias die. I just can’t carry watering-cans all over the garden so I’m having to prioritise the watering.

There has not been any talk about hose pipe ban here. We had enough rain in the last couple of days to last for a while.

Although I don’t like rain, I must, in this case, say ‘Lucky you’! I just long to see that water pour from the sky. We’ve had a couple of severe storms but it was just a flash downpour which merely flattened the existing flowers and shook all the petals from the remaining roses. The pots still need watering and my dodgy mobility makes it difficult for me, especially on a sloping garden.
