There was a wondeful sunrise this morning. At last something worth seeing so early. Otherwise the day was again dull, no sun and it is already heading for night. I am only quickly here this evening. My filet of beef is nicely thawed out for the evening Christmas food and I will be cooking Vichy carrots and brussel sprounts with it, together with French fries. No. 1 son does not eat sprouts but is happy with the carrots. For dessert there will be ice cream. There will not be a cooking battle taking place in the kitchen, those were the days gone by when the complete family was assembled. I spoke to Mr. Swiss on the phone. He said he had a good dinner in the clinic where he is.

My robin arrived again in the garden for the Christmas food

as well as the blackbird.
All that is left for me to say is to wish everyone a very happy Christmas.

That sunrise is beautiful! Merry Christmas to you, Pat. Your little birds look very happy with their Christmas food.

Things are looking better. Mr. Swiss is now getting bored and that is always a good sign. Wishing you and the hounds a barking good Christmas

Merry Christmas, Pat. Best wishes for a better 2022 with Mr Swiss home and well, and you staying safe from the viral spiral. I haven’t been responding to your posts, but read them every day and feel connected to you that way. You are a real role model, dear lady. Blue Skies!

I take it as it comes. We are not getting younger, but Mr. Swiss can improve his problems which is not something I can do with my MS. Wishing you the best of the season

Merry Christmas, Pat. What a beautiful sky you had this morning. I love the little blackbirds, their singing and digging for food in the garden. It must be a sign of good luck.

I am sorry that Mr. Swiss can not be there.

We have survived. I cooked some good food. Mr. Swiss is now alone in his room as the other guy went home. It is the first Christmas we have spent alone since 52 years

Goodness, I wondered about that. It was half a century ago.
