RDP Saturday: Hiraeth

All I can say to that is Llanfairpwllgwyngyll which is the name of a village in Wales, actually on the Isle of Angelsey and of course Yaki da which is a Welsh greeting for Good Day.

My photo shows the flowers of the leek vegetable, whish is also an emblem of the Welsh nation, besdes their red dragon. I remember many years ago going to a football match in London where my team were playing against Swansea town, one of the Welsh teams. There were some Welsh supporters in the stadium and before the match begun they decided to do something for their team and quickly ran onto the field and planted a leek on the middle spot. Of course it was removed before the game began, but it was a nice patriotic gesture.
