FOWC with Fandango: Invoice

In the days of online payments my invoices are usually dealt with on the same day and afterwards filed away to be forgotten. As you get older it is better to deal with these affairs immediately, otherwise they are quickly forgotten or disappear. When I was a working woman it was part of my job to construct invoices to be in line with official documents such as Letters of Credit. That was many years ago, and I am sure I could no longer do it. As the text was mainly english, I was the expert in the office.

  1. I was the accounts receivable clerk at one of my jobs. I filed all the invoices in the huge drawers of my desk, which was kept locked when I was away from it, and was waterproof. Or so we thought. One storm, we got 3 feet of water in the office and the invoices were soaked. We about strung them on a clothesline to dry them all out. That was a mess.
