It was a wonderful sunrise this morning, as if to compensate for the constant gloom from the rainy days of the last week. I saw that the weather forecast said today and tomorrow sun and perhaps on Saturday as well. I just did not know when to stop taking photos this morning, and this all with my little camera on my iPhone.

Even the moon was still hanging around, so I had to take her photo as well. I did not want her to be jealous of the sun.

And this is the sky from the other side of my apartment. You can even see a few alps in the background.
Actually I should not really be here this morning. It is fresh linen day on the beds and that needs time until I have battled with the mattresses, turned them and recovered the duvet and pillow. I also have to put the vacuum cleaner into operation under the framework of the beds, but practice makes perfect. A couple of years ago Mr. Swiss and I swopped beds. Mine was nearer to the bathroom and door and I noticed Mr. Swiss was having problems walking through the bedroom in the middle of the night. We never got around to swopping the contents of our drawers, so yesterday it was done. Now we have a completely tidy bedroom with everything organised.

The neighbour’s cat paid a visit yesterday. I was not sure whether this was a yawn or a complaint, but those cats can certainly open their mouths.

She also decided to have a wash whilst she was waiting for some appetisers that I always have ready for the feline visitors. Yes it was quite an action day yesterday.

I also baked one of my famous breads in between, this time with brown flour. Even my cleaning lady now asks if I have baked bread and likes to try a sample. Today I will also fit in a bread baking session. Today we have a gardening refuse collection from the local authorities combined with the paper and cardboard. It is times like these when I am so grateful for No. 1 son. He helped me to prepare garden bits and pieces and put it in the container yesterday evening. I forgot the paper, so asked him in the evening if he could sort it. He said he had dealt with that already and everything was ready for today to be collected. I am so thankful for his help and he never complains. Being an autist he is also very exact in his tasks.
And now I should really move on. I still have to finish the beds. Have a good day and make the most of it. Let us have another sunrise before I go, it really puts me in a good mood for the day. This was the last one I took, so the sun was actually putting in an appearance from behind the tree.

Fantastic photos of the sunrise and the half moon

Good morning .. .you are certainly up and busy this morning … it is also going to be sunny here today and up above freezing … so … much of the snow should start to melt….. we faired pretty well … it never really stuck to the roads or sidewalks .. so they are clear … the grass is covered but it is not too thick so it should melt pretty quickly…. it was really great snow for snowballs .. it held together really well when you cupped it in your hands to press it tight … I have not seen snow that good since I was a child I don’t think … have a great day .. SLP ….

It was a very busy morning, but I managed to do it all. Finished the beds at 10.30, aftrwards made the bread to rise and then cooked spaghetti for lunch with a side salad. Afterwards collapsed into my midday sleep and now taking it easy.

Good evening, as it is afternoon. I spent the morning learning about my Chromebook and playing with the camera. I took some pictures but I haven’t found them. I put some pictures of Pumpkin and my plants today. I like seeing your cats. Your house must smell good with all the baking you are doing. It is good that you can find things to keep you busy. We had spaghetti yesterday and I hope there is enough day. Have a good night’s sleep now your beds are fresh.

It was a busy morning but quieter in the afternoon. I managed another bread and otherwise just took it easy. The birds made themselves scarce today. At least it didn’t rain

I am so glad that No1 son is a high functioning autist. And your bread baking skills have improved through practice, it shows.

I am quite proud now of my bread baking. It got to a slow start, but now I have the routine. I discoverd that having the right utensils is a big help. It is so great to have a nice crusty fresh bread on the table.

My daily medicine is Vitimin D drops. We do not get enough sun here, particularly during the Winter days and it is support to the immune system.

Wonderful sunrises. Owen has taken over bread-baking here and he’s getting really good at it. I bought him two French bread trays and that will be his next attempt. The dark bread tended to be a little too heavy and dry for us, but his lighter breads are delicious. He started adding honey to the recipe rather than sugar and it made a huge difference both in the taste of the bread and in how long it keeps. Honey has a preservative quality, so the bread made with honey lasts several days rather than getting stale in a matter of hours.
I can get up for the dawn, but the trees make it really hard to actually get a picture. I get the birds because of the trees, so I guess i can’t complain too much 🙂

For the brown and whole-wheat bread I use honey. It is also in my recipe, just a spoonful. I bake a 500 gramme bread which we eat in one day with a rest for breakfast the next morning. Our bread never lasts long enough to keep. I am now baking three times a week and am loving it.
We are having some good sunrises if it doesn’t rain.
