I am always getting my dahlia, chrysanthemums and even asters mixed up, especially in autumn

Not exactly. It is a chrysanthemum. Although available throughout the year, dahlias tend to be a summery flower. Chrysanthemum becomes more popular in autumn, although it is also always available.

I would say, dahlia, but it is so beautiful it doesn’t really need a name: it’s just a lovely flower.

It is a chrysanthemum. ;D π and it is gorgeous π Dahlias are part of the chrysanthemum family. So when in doubt call it a chrysanthemum.

I thought it might be as all you can see are chrysanthemums at the moment. I think the dahlias have now had their time

Dahlias for the most part are last summer flowers, especially where there are winters and spring.

We don’t see them so much in gardens, mostly in the stores.
