I am not so sure about this one. It was growing wild at the edge of a field. I have never seen alfalfa, but according to my plant finding app this is what it is.

The sure test is to smell it. Alfalfa smells sweet. It doesn’t look quite like the kind that grows around here, but I know there are many varieties. It’s often used a mulch, so it’s pretty likely.

Somehow I have memories of the plant from my shool days, probably an important crop is some countries, but I never realised that it would also grow in Europe.

Oh yes, it grows everywhere, both as forage and as a cover crop. I do not remember much of it here, probably because mustard was such a common cover crop in the orchards.

I am no expert, but from geography in the school there are a few countries that plant it. I think it is something good for the ground.
