A colleague who works in Austria for a week or so annually tried to grow some here, but it did not go very well. The seed was chilled in the freezer for a while, and germinated well, but then succumbed to mildew. We will try again, but do not expect it to do well here where it will get minimal chill through winter.

It don’t think it could grobe well in California. A bad day where you are is probably comparable to a Spring day here

There are not may bad days here. It seems silly to me when someone from another climate complains about the weather here, when I know it is so much better than where they came from. Most people here are from somewhere else.
