Owen and I were just talking about the bindweed. We used to try and pull it out, but once bindweed gets going, it’s pretty close to unstoppable. And it does have a lovely flower that smell good, too.

I once had it trying to take over my hedge. Then the gardener redid my garden and luckily I haven’t seen it since

*shudder* My garden in Portland (OR, USA) was filled with bindweed. Every week I’d pull it, and it never seemed to make a difference. The flowers are lovely, but… ugh.

If you cannot remove the roots It can be a real curse.

I only cut these out when they are being totally invasive as I love the flowers. And what is so different between this and the purple Morning Glory which my husband used to plant from seed and got to crawl all over our shed?
