How is this for a cheerful start to a rainy dreary morning? My daughter-in-law brought them yesterday, picked from her garden. I have not seen such a wonderful bunch of roses for some time and so many. It really brightens up the day to see them. It was lovely to see No. 2 son and his family yesterday-No. 1 grandson is really growing fast now and is way past the dada stage and now holds conversations. No. 1 grandaughter is now half a year old. She is sitting and will soon be making her first attempts at crawling. It is a couple of months since I last saw them, but now the corona virus is slowly losing its grip on Switzerland with a few new cases per day, lock down is almost no more, just safe distancing, and travel has resumed. I would say thanks for the steps taken by our government and the Swiss are a disciplined folk and we follow the orders. If not we just collect signatures and it goes to the vote to change something. It is called direct democracy which in a small country is possible.
Enough politics for a Sunday so let us see what else is happening. Not very much, it rained all night and the front garden had the wet look this morning, but rain also serves its purpose and I do not have to water the garden.
It really seems to be rose time at the moment and my red roses are now in full bloom. I did not go anywhere yesterday, was busy being a grandmother and this morning it is wet everywhere. I am hoping for a dry spell this afternoon to get out and see things. Since being carless I am really becoming a wheelchair tourist and love touring around and discovering, although my discoveries are mainly based on stores and what they have on offer.
Yesterday evening the second programme of the BBC english TV programme brought their weekly programme featuring a musician of the earlier days and yesterday it was David Bowie. No that I was a great fan of his, but it is good to see the old films and recordings again and he was certainly something a little different than the others.
And now to move on to something else. I have a 2nd fridge in my apartment. It is only really used to keep my MS medicine, but now I only have one box left, a new supply has been ordered which I will receive next week. I usual can order three months supply, but now that has been reduced to 2 months, also due to corona times. The medicine comes from Germany. So now the fridge is empty and I should actually defrost it as that has never been done since I got the fridge a couple of years ago. It is only the ice section that needs doing, so I will have to do it today which I hope will not take too long.
I wish everyone a good Sunday, may it be a quite one, as this alley in our town is.
