    • That is very true. After living in Kanton Solothurn for the past 50 years and being married to a Swiss, I notice that my Swiss German in a mixture of languages. Ciao is also a word often used for goodbye. Often you also find an english word in between.

    • And I am originally an English cockney from Bethnal Green, London, but been living in Switzerland since 1966. My first two years were in Zürich and then I went to Solothurn to work, where I met Mr. Swiss and have been here since. User Huussprach isch Schwyzertütsch 🙂
