FOWC with Fandango: Yarn

Knitting

I can spin you a yarn all about yarn
It was many years ago
I would knit every evening, the needles clicking
It became a tale of woe
Pullovers for the children, socks for the men
I even knitted a hat
When the garments got to small
I undid them all and then I wove a mat
All I have left are my needles and hooks
I left the yarn on a router
Who wants to knit or crochet today
Now I have a computer

    • When the kids were growing I would be knitting for them all the time and it was fun. I even made my own clothes and some for the kids, but suddenly with age and retirement I had lost the interest. Now my handwork is all on the computer.

  1. I found out that knitting is way too time consuming and hard on my hands as I’ve grown older. But it was fun think to do. And we didn’t had computers then.

  2. I raise Icelandic Sheep and my hope is to learn how to spin their wool. Should be an interesting venture. Sharing it via blog is the best of both worlds, right?!
