It all happened two years ago, but never forgotten and I have my photos as a memory. There is a field where every year something else is planted: sometimes wheat, perhaps corn and one year sunflowers were chosen. The seeds are used for the production of sunflower seed oil. It was a wonderful sight to see, so many sunflowers packed into a field. This was really a symbol of joy.
Lovely! Their upright faces look as if posing for the picture🌻 🌻🌻

They are certainly very impressive. I think I took a photo a day when they were flowering.

oh yes, this is my dream landscape too – I jumped out of the car when I saw my first sunflower field…. and once on a holiday in Southern France we rented our B&B really far from the cities, and thus drove past several fields – what gave us the biggest joy was how they turned their heads towards the sun. You could literally watch them ‘nodding’ in the direction, especially in the evening…. magic!

Do they really follow the sun round? They are all so straight, tall and at attention.

I think all plants follow the sun and when you have a sunflower head, the head goes with the stalk.
