On the Hunt for Joy: Plant Sunflowers

Sunflowers 30.06 (1)

It all happened two years ago, but never forgotten and I have my photos as a memory. There is a field where every year something else is planted: sometimes wheat, perhaps corn and one year sunflowers were chosen. The seeds are used for the production of sunflower seed oil. It was a wonderful sight to see, so many sunflowers packed into a field. This was really a symbol of joy.

  1. oh yes, this is my dream landscape too – I jumped out of the car when I saw my first sunflower field…. and once on a holiday in Southern France we rented our B&B really far from the cities, and thus drove past several fields – what gave us the biggest joy was how they turned their heads towards the sun. You could literally watch them ‘nodding’ in the direction, especially in the evening…. magic!
