  1. What is better than a meadow full of wild daisies? How about a meadow filled with wild daisies, a herd of puppies, big bags of money and . . . well, I could elaborate, but won’t waste your time. Daisies will do.

      • Some of the wild meadows I remember from when I was a kid summering on the coast of San Mateo County are now within McNee Ranch State Park. I have not been there in decades, but I hope that some of the native wildflowers still bloom there. The California poppy is more scarce nowadays. The bloom of the San Francisco iris was dreamy. It was not spectacular like that of the poppies, but it was . . . dreamy.
