At least it is a dry day although I saw traces of rain drying outside on the porch stones. And yet another week-end is here. Sometimes I feel that my life has become days of week-ends, although it seems that week-ends are also no longer what they should be with the panic caused by the new virus. Many events have now been cancelled. What are the football fans going to do without their Saturday match being played? Large groups are now forbidden according to the government orders to try and prevent the disease spreading all the more.
My life will continue as ever. I generally try to avoid unnecessary shopping trips on Saturday and like to take a wheelie into town. Yesterday I got the week-end shopping as usual and now I have the privilege to cook the food I bought whilst the others wait in line to eat it.
Even the crow has only one aim in life in the morning. The walnut feast has arrived, so take what you can before the thieving magpies arrive. I wonder how he can fit a whole walnut into his beak.
Things are progressing in the garden and this morning I noticed that the tulips are also arriving. They are always the last of the spring flower events. At last we are gradually getting some colour outside.
It seems even the crocus sleep at night and they are were still closed when I saw them this morning.
Even the TV was not so interesting yesterday evening. Somehow I did not imagine that my older years would be as they are. Sometimes I can compare it to a waiting room preparing for the next part, although there is no next part. This is it, so make the most of it. I am hoping for an afternoon without rain so that I can at least take a wheelie into town in my chair and see something different. It has been a week since I saw something else than the inside of a supermarket.
And I will now make my way for the usual routined Saturday morning. Enjoy your week-end and make the most of it. Monday comes soon enough.
At least I have my orchid to brighten up the morning.
