FOWC with Fandango: Youth

statues and landhaus

Photo by me, organised in Photoshop

Wouldn’t it be lovely,
Oh, it would be so good
To get my curves returned
In the places where they should
I was never a Venus de Milo
nor did I resemble a piggy
I was more on the thinner side
A lookalike of Twiggy
Then one day I developed
I gained a little weight
It developed in the wrong places
And now it was too late
With the years I became quite voluptuous
To tell you all the truth
The weight dropped down southwards
And that was the end of my youth

  1. Youth seems like yesterday or maybe a hundred years ago. I suppose it depends on how I look at it. I remember when I was in my 20s asking a 50+ year old friend how you knew when you’d really grown up and she said she’d tell me when it happened. I have very young days. My head is young. It’s the rest of me that’s a mess.
