  1. I had a huge white one. When ‘finished’ I put it outside and TWICE the snails feasted on the nearly one meter long leaves, reducing it to shreds. I just simply didn’t care any longer and poured water in the pot, together with all the others. Then, within 10 days, about 3 weeks ago, I got 4 flawless white new flowers…. a wonder of miracles! Never happened before. Now the snails have done their damage again.

      • I like them because they grow wild. They are not exactly naturalized, but will grow anywhere sunny we plant them. We have a few where we do not want them, so they will be dug and relocated just before the rain starts in autumn. They will grow through autumn and winter, and continue like nothing ever happened. Even here, they need to watering. They are dormant through the dry season. (I just dislike the bright pink.)
