They are pretty. I have one the same colour but I keep mine inside. They are tricky plants. The first one I had I was able to keep going during the flowering season and then put it away for the summer in a cupboard. When I brought it out in autumn it grew back and I had another season but the following summer it did not survive. I have another one now and will attempt the same. I read that the potted cyclamen that most stores sell as gifts are not as hardy as those that are bred for gardens so maybe your outside one will do better.

I really could not advise on this one. I know they do well here, but of course, the ground does not freeze in winter, and nothing gets covered in snow.

Ours do the opposite. They go dormant through the warmth of summer, and bloom through the mild winters.

I love them too and have had equally little success with them. I think I don’t have enough sunlight to grow them.

After a few days they the leaves turn yellow and the flowers wilt and I have tried everything. This year I want to try them in my raised bed outside.
