  1. This was one of my very first perennials to propagate a whole bunch of. When I was in junior high school, I needed to dig up a big mound of it that was about twenty years old. It was probably planted in about 1958, and I had to dig it up in about 1978. Anyway, after digging it up, I split it into about a hundred shoots, which I planted in a row in another garden. I still grow them today!
