  1. Wow! That is impressive. Mine never looked like that. I do not often grow them. Brent and I were just talking about how popular they were in 1976. Red, white and blue petunias were planted in the tree wells all around town. He particularly remembered them around the palms on Bedford Drive because all those palms were in front of different homes, but everyone on that block (or few blocks) planted the same petunias, as if it were a downtown street. In about 1986, those same palms were outfitted with red zonal geraniums, which were also somewhat uniform for a few blocks, as if it were a community effort.
