  1. I have some echinacea tea which is supposed to be healthy and soothing; they are called ‘cone flowers’ here in Albuquerque but in my back yard (read American for garden) the Valerian plant has taken over the cone flowers.

      • That would be weird. I wrote an article a while back about seed catalogues add color to the pictures of their flowers to sell them, and posted the same picture of pampas grass in two different colors, pink and purple. Pampas grass is neither pink nor purple.

          • We grew the first of the few yellow magnolias just because a ‘few’ people really wanted them when they first became available. They were expected to be the next big thing. . . . but then no one bought anymore. We discontinued production of that cultivar. I thin the same applies to the white marigold. They are still around, but not very popular.
