I always wanted to grow delphinium. They are incredibly love and impressive.

I didi not meet delphinium until I was in college in about 1986 or 1987. There is a native larkspur, which looks like a diet delphinium, but it is surprisingly rare.

I had a blue one in my garden, but apparently they are poisonous

Aren’t they all toxic to some degree? I do not know why pink or white would be any less toxic than blue. I would not know. I never tried eating one.

I have a cat, although she does not usually bother to eat flowers thank goodness.

The feral cats at my home ate rodents. Although I never questioned it, I was never temped to try it myself. I was grateful for their service. They were elderly and seemingly slow, but on rare occasion, would leave bits of fins laying about from the little trout they caught in the creek! I do not know how they did that.
