  1. When we lived in South Australia our garden was mostly limestone, rock hard, impossible to dig and with the dry climate we never had much luck growing any flowers. One of the only things that would grow was gazanias. The previous owner of the house had planted them all over the front garden or perhaps they were wild ones as they grew on the sand dunes at the nearby beach as well. Most of ours were orange like the last one you posted shades of copper but I did see the pinks and violets, we had a couple and there were many at the beach. It’s hard for me to imagine them in a store. They are native to South Africa and do well in the South Australian climate which is similar I believe.
