  1. We here in USA would call that instrument a bassoon. Interesting to hear it would be an oboe in Switzerland. I know instruments have different names in different countries, particularly with the horn section. The gourds look lovely. We always know it is time for autumn here when the morning markets on weekends offer gourds as part of the items for sale. They were 5 for $4 dollars, so I bought 9 plus a “mini” pumpkin to fill out my quota of 10. Fortunately cleaning out my mother’s house over the summer I inherited an oversized serving plate so I can put them all in one place now in the middle of the dining table. That’s great as they are usually all around the dining room and parlor in various trays.
