A Photo A Week Challenge: Water

Fountain 24.08 (1)

Water has become very precious, especially this summer when we had continuous high temperatures and no rain, but somewhere water was flowing. It has also become a very expensive commodity in Switzerland and we have learned to save our water. Many streams ran dry and the local river sank lower. I cannot show you oceans as we have none in Switzerland. Our water is in the rivers and the lakes and in this case, our local cemetery: nothing spectacular, but it makes a pleasant background noise as it trickles through the fountain.

  1. A drought in Switzerland is a very serious problem for more than just Switzerland, as it is a major supplier of water for other countries in the region. I hope you get the moisture you need soon. Lovely picture. Looks serene and relaxing. Thanks for joining the challenge!
