    • How amusing. Passion flowers are common weeds here, but not many of us have tasted the fruit. There are not many, and animals usually get it first. The most popular passion flowers that are not weeds are grown for their pretty flowers, but are sterile.

      • I think Passion flowers get their name from something biblical. I have had one or two in the past, but they do not survive our winters. Once I had one that bore fruit, just a small yellow one, but nothing special

        • The five petals and similar five sepals represent the ten disciples who remained loyal to Jesus. The thorny halo inside the flower represents the crown of thorns. the three weird anthers represent the Holy Trinity.
