This book was in an exhibition at our local castle, from the good old days where everyone spoke latin.
Looking for a book to read? Then visit our local town of Solothurn in Switzerland. They have a selection for anyone to borrow on the banks of the river in a bookcase. You can also leave your own books there that are no longer needed for the others to read.
Ask the cat at our place before you want to read the newspaper. She might be reading it herself.
I love your display of bookcase of books photo. 😀

There are quite a few cities, as well as airports that now have this.

I’m always trying to get my town to build a little free library, and so far I’ve gotten permission to put one up, but still no one is building it. 😦

We have smaller selections called little free libraries available right outside people’s homes, I think it’s a great concept 😀

Here we have as the best initiative, exchanges of used books, but paying 1 to 3 euros. I have to show them your free bookcase for them to learn to be more generous. I like your “paw”-erfull pic

I had heard about these bookcases with the free books on airports and stations, but was surprised to find one on the bank of our local River and it really costs nothing. Also an opportunity to get rid of your unwanted books that others have not read.

We have boxes in the supermarket with all kinds of free stuff. Toys, books, clothing … even food. You put stuff in, you take stuff out. We once gave them a crate of Stephen King’s hard cover books. I don’t think they made it to the “free” bin … I think the guy who took them from Garry took them directly to his car. On the up side, he was a grocery clerk, so I’m sure he felt like he’d hit a bonanza.

We have nothing free in our supermarket like that. I would have kept those books as well, what a bargain
