This morning I see some blue in the sky, so who knows, perhaps there will be no rain today. I wish I could add a sound tract to this as I am writing. The crows have gathered somewhere, probably in a tree, and are singing a chorus of caws.
I managed a photo of them circling before landing on their favourite tree of the moment. I only have my mobile camera in the morning for photos as I can do them instantly, otherwise I would need more time to upload and process the photos, but you have an idea of what it looks like at my place. And the crows are still conversing in their loud caws.
Yesterday afternoon we had some bright patches, even sun, and I was really intending to go places and see things. However, a dark cloud appeared and it began to rain. There was a quick change of plan. Mr. Swiss had to go to the place where they make driving permits to have an alteration with the words “wears glasses”. It is in the village where I worked for 30 years, not far away and I decided to accompany him. I now realise how inconvenient it can be if you cannot walk so well, and must hope that somewhere there is a lift, even if you only need to go to the first floor. As soon as you pay for the alternation, 20 Swiss francs, they issue a nice new neat plastic card. Either you pay cash or by credit card in the machine. They are well organised.
After completing our business we moved on, passing the famous roundabout with the horse emblem of the village.
We now moved into the town of Solothurn as I now had the opportunity to get my photo done for my permit to park on places reserved for the handicapped. Of course, I could do the photo myself, but too much fiddling around and at the photographers they do a good job and you can wait for the result.
We went to a different photo saloon belonging to a lady. She was immediately sympathetic, especially as she used a Nikon camera. Mr. Swiss dropped me off in front of the door as he had to search for a parking space and my walking is really not so good with the stick. I can now complete my official form, and all I now need is the neurologist doc to complete another form and in future we can then park on the extra large parking spaces next to the entrance in the supermarket and other similar reserved spaces.
We drove home through the rain, again, and I am getting quite good at rain pictures. I decided they do not have to be perfect, and if a bit of car window frame and wiper gets into the picture, it sort of belongs to the dreary atmosphere.
And another eventful day ends in the wilds of Switzerland. The evening was filled with reading further in my 450 Kindle paged book. This morning the sun
is was shining, so who knows what lays ahead. I know I have a shopping marathon to perform on my own in the supermarket whilst Mr. Swiss has a hospital appointment, but I have enough time. The list is made including Monday and part of Tuesday as it is the Whitsun holiday at the beginning of next week.
Have fun and if possible do not let is rain on you.
