    • We have a few woodpeckers in the surrounding woods, but this was the first time that I suddenly saw this one having a peck at the food parcel. I was thrilled, especially as I had never see a woodpecker so close up before.

  1. Great trees photos–I call willows ‘hair-do trees’ especially in the spring. There’s something so lively about them, as if they are primping for the day.

  2. We have a very similar woodpecker — the classic redhead after which Woody was created. I’ve only seen ours once (though I hear him often) … but never gotten near catching a photograph of him! Great shot!
