List 2 things you have to be happy about?
I am happy to live in a place with such magnificent views in the surroundings. Our village is at the foot of the Jura, which has seven parallel chains of mountains stretching to the Swiss border in the North. There is then a flat plane towards the south and it ends in the Bernese Overland with the big mountains. I am now happy to have an electric wheelchair to be able to take photos. I am a very lucky person.
Have you ever owned a rock, pet rock, or gem that is not jewelry?
I was going to say no, but then I remembered we once had a very small ash tray from a polished rock. This was many years ago, and I do not think we ever used it as an ash tray. I stopped smoking thirty years ago. However Mr. Swiss to the rescue. We still have it on a shelf as an ornament and here it is. Otherwise I do not collect rocks, just heavy big stones for my rockery in the garden.
Are you a hugger or a non-hugger?
Neither nor. It is a little custom here that if you meet someone from the family or a very good friend you will give them a squeeze out of friendship. Formally we shake hands. I do not hug anyone and everyone, it is not my style. I am one of the cool english.
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
Being independent again, weather permitting. I am now out and about with my camera. I had to stop my longer walks as they were too exhausting (MS) and 10 minutes became the limit. Now I have my electric wheelchair and weather permitting, I am out in the afternoons. I can now even go a little further. We have ducks, geese, horses and chickens across the road, a castle and a river runs at the bottom of our village for some duck and swan action. What could be better. I feel better. I meet people on the way, we have conversations and when I arrive home I am refreshed.
Interesting photos as usual, and I am glad your chariot is doing wonders for your mobility and freedom–

It’s great, I even enjoy driving it. We had some agreeable weather up to the week-end and now it is constant rain, although it is supposed to get better tomorrow. As soon as the sun shines, I will be out.

What beautiful images!
Motorized wheel chairs are a godsend for people with mobility impairment. I’m a huge proponent of them being available for anyone who needs them. I need to stop myself before I get up on my soapbox about my belief in medical care for all. 😉

I grew up in england under the national health service. Today it is a shambles. The idea is free treatment for all, but you get the cheapest of the cheap. You would never ever get an electric wheelchair. In Switzerland, nothing is free, but you can choose and since having my electric wheelchair a new world has reopened I can go places independently on my own and choose.

There’s nothing like being out and about to rejuvenate the spirit! Your chair is perfect for that purpose!

I feel so much better. I go out more in the fresh air. My chair is ideal. I now realise how much I had slowed down in the past year.

We don’t really go in for hugs and kisses, it’s not my thing.

I told you I would not get addicted to memes; but I wanted to brag that the Pet Rock was invented here in Los Gatos!

I had never heard of the pet rock until I saw it here. I have xat and she is m only pet. I must admit I do talk to my plants now and again, but they never answer

I got a pet rock just after I heard about them; but it is not an authentic Pet Rock. I found in near the train tracks in just past Auburn. His name is Peanut, and he still lives with me.

We have people here that go into the caverns in the mountains searching for rocks with the crystals inside. They are the specialists and find some really attractive rocks

Its a very small ashtray, and fills the palm of my hand. Just for one cigarette probably.
