We got clouds this morning. It was windy and cold, but the clouds have returned. They are billowing in above us and it might even be a day when I can go out and see places. At the moment no snow or rain, so who knows. Facbook greeted me with the words “Good morning Pat! Are you ready for the snow in Solothurn” which is a way of telling me the daily weather forecast. I am not ready for the snow in Solothurn, so I hope it stays away. They are also telling me to boost my posts for 5 Swiss Francs to reach up to 1,900 people which I will not do. If people want to read it it is OK as far as I am concerned, but I am not going to pay a few hundrd chinese somewhere in Hong Kong to click likes all day.. It is all a scam.
I have a personal Angloswiss page in Facebook and crosspost my WordPress stuff there. However, I have noticed that my blogs also go to my normal page in Facebook which was not my intention.
On my last wheelie around area I went further and passed by this villa. It belonged to a one of the prominent neighbours, a lawyer or doctor – no idea. I am not now sure who it belongs to or who is living there and just took the photo. I am not sure if I would like to live somewhere like that. I have enough to do with keeping my place tidy, but hoovering in that place and cleaning windows would be a life’s work. They even had a pond in the garden and a stream. I could not take photos of it as it was all fenced in.
I noticed the ladies went marching again in the States with their nice pink hats (I have one too) I like the signs on the cards they were carrying. I have seen many American presidents come and go, but this one beats them all. He is a showman, a tweeter and spends more time on the golf course than doing his job. In a few days he will arrive in Switzerland for a conference in Davos. There are a few protests even in Switzerland with an agressive placard inviting to Kill Trump. The police are still thinking this one over. Police investigate protestors over ‘Kill Trump’ placard.
In our little town of Solothurn nothing exiting is happening, and also in my part of the world. I am now off to potter around at home looking for a purpose in my life, but not going on marches. although I do have a nice pink hat with ears, thanks to my American cousine over the pond.
As it’s Sunday, here is a photo of the village roman catholic church complete with cemetery. Keep well, take it easy and see you on the flip side.
