What caring thing are you going to do for yourself today?
I can read a book, I have my computer to use when I want to. I care for myself every day, but I have Mr Swiss. We care for each other and whilst I was on my computer he prepared the evening meal, as always. We have been eating a little more lately for dinner, being Christmas and all that, so the evening meal is not a feast, but you eat with the eyes.
List at least five of your favorite spices? (excluding salt and pepper)
Aromat – the Swiss national spice
Paprika
Chilli
HP Sauce – the english national spice
Dijon Mustard
What can you always be found with?
A camera, perhaps a couple of lens and definitely my iPhone
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
I appreciated getting the mad time of Christmas behind me and being able to relax at home at last. And I was happy that last year’s amaryllis flowered again this year: just one stalk up to now, but who knows if a second one will arrive.
If I don’t have my camera …. most definitely my cell phone in case a photo opportunity calls my name. 😀 Beautiful amaryllis.

Same here. Mr. Swiss even bought me a bigger handbag to accommodate my camera. I was really proud that I managed to let my amaryllis flower again this year.

I even put a pinch of chili powder in the spaghetti sauce. I like a kick in what I eat. And you are never alone with a camera

Amaryllis should flower every year with the proper treatment. This was my first success

1. Sleep (I do not get enough of that) and enjoy good quality people.
2. Red pepper and cinnamon the only favorite spices I can think of. Tabasco Sauce, maple syrup and horseradish are condiments.
3. clothes
4. I appreciated how more people are saying ‘Merry Christmas’ instead of ‘Happy Holidays’; although I also appreciated how someone said ‘Merry’ and followed it with a list of a variety of winter holidays to avoid saying ‘Holidays’ while also being as inclusive as practical.

Sleep is always good especially being a golden oldie. I have to relax in between work. I also like my food spicy.. I tend to avoid Chtistmas. Greetings and like to remain neutral. Everyone should be free to believe what they want to

We had our Christmas Day on Christmas Eve, so Christmas Day was very quiet and restful. I have no immediate family here – my sister lives on a farm in New Zealand, Hawkes Bay area and my brother in the Netherlands, just outside Groningen.
