Daily Prompt: Taming Time

“I thought we could go for a walk this afternoon. ”

“I don’t feel like it.”

“But the weather is great, a lovely Autumn day. We could take a walk along the river and you could take some photos.”

“I have enough photos of the river. I prefer to read my new book.”

“You can read your book when its raining and unfriendly weather.”

“And I can read it now in the peace and quiet of my own home.”

“Ok, then I will go for a walk on my own.”

“No problem. Will it be a long walk?”

“I think I will carry on into town for a drink in this wonderful weather and sit outside on a terrace somewhere. Are you sure you would rather sit at home with your nose in a book. on your own?”.

“Yes, you go and ejoy yourself on your walk and I will enjoy my “me” time with a book.”

“OK, in that case see you in a couple of hours.”

“A couple of hours?”

“Of course, I don’t want to interrupt your intensive book reading session.”

“Are you being funny? ”

“I understand that you need some time to yourself after the housework and cooking.”

“OK, have fun and enjoy your drink with the boys.”

I really don’t feel like taking a walk along the river this afternoon I have better things to do.”Where’s my phone?”

“Hello is that you Cyril.”

“Yes dear, ready and waiting.”

“He’s gone for a long walk.”

“At last, he never let’s you out of his eye lately. Do you think he is suspicious?”

“Him suspicious? No never.  But let’s make up for lost time. The only chance I have to see you is when I pretend to go for the choir practice once a week. He is so stupid, he has never heard me sing, otherwise he would realise that choir practice is not my thing. Shall I come to your place, or do you want to come to mine. We have two hours to make the most of.”

“Ok, I am on my way to you. I must say you organised that one very well.”

“No problem, just convinced him that it was his idea to go for a walk on his own. Just a matter of taming him.”

“And you can do that so well. In five minutes I will be at your place and then you can tame me.”

“I love taming wild animals. Don’t forget to bring your whip and handcuffs. I like it tough.”

“I know you do, the tougher the better my little kitten.”
