I am a bit lazy this morning, my bed was so comfortable it would not let me go. I was also busy taking photos of clouds and the sky. The problem with those cloud photos is you have to be quick, otherwise they shift or change their shapes. It was the cloud band that interested me on this photo. Naturally I took a few more, this was only on my telephone camera.
And now to deal with the normal daily things in life. I was reading a report on the release of the iPhone 8 in Switzerland on an apple news web site. The normal crowds did not appear in the Apple store in Zurich on the morning of the first sales day. They are usually queing an hour before the shop opens, but this time it was an empty Bahnhofstrsse in front of the store. Slowly the people arrived and when the store opened they were all waiting. There were even people that travelled from East European countries by organised bus to get their Apple 8 phone, just to be the first in their own country. Perhaps some are still waiting for the release of the iPhone X which will be beginning November. I am still thinking about it.
At the moment Mr. Swiss has just organised his older iPad for No. 1 son who is autistic. He also now has his own mail address. It was his birthday yesterday. Do I really have a 48 year old son, time goes so quickly. It seems only yesterday I was on my way to the clinic around midnight.
I had another visitor yesterday, sitting on the kitchen wall. The kitchen window is mostly open and they all arrive uninvited. We used to call thse “Daddy Long Legs” when I was a kid. Growing up in a house built in 1875 built by the Victorians for the Victorians, we had an outside toilet in the garden. Not exactly luxury, just whitewashed walls and a throne to sit on. Of course it was ideal for any insect life in our yard and they would all be hovering on the walls. As a kid I was not exactly enthralled. I used to get mum to hunt them away when I paid a visit. However as time passed I gave up, there were two many. I would sit there watching them as I dealt with my private business being convinced they would attack.
Funny thing is today I do not mind them so much. They do not bite and are very still. I believe they prey on the smaller other insects that are an annoyance. Yesterday I gave my 2 surviving orchids water and suddenly I felt an irritation on my hand. An earwig was taking a walk on my arm, must have been sitting in the roots of the orchids. I do not like earwigs at all, but Mr. Swiss has the habit of rescuing them if they wander inside and replacing them in the garden. I just tread on them, however this time I let it escape and I have a feeling it is still wandering around in the appartment.
And now to something completely different like cleaning the place up a little bit and doing other Sunday morning jobs like ironing. If I organise myself properly I don’t mind ironing as it is the only time in the week when I can listen to the radio on my iPad, the London station catching up on what is going on in my homeland.
Time to go, keep safe and beware of any intruding insects, but take their photo first of all, they so appreciate it.
And it is beginning to look like Autumn.
