Last week I took a ride in our mountain cable car, built a few years ago. Of course the view from the top of the mountain was spectacular, but I was more interested in taking photos of the structure of the cables of the suspension of the car. I took this photo as we were leaving the exit at the top of the mountain for the descent.
Perfect take on it! 😊

Fascinating! It’s a wonder how far humans have achieved – starting from the old days of the Pyramids and the Great Wall of China

This cable car replaced the old chair lift, which was not so high tech. The reason they replaced it was because they could no longer find and spare parts for repairs.

Quite a view, both of structure and scene.

There was so much to take in with the scenery and the cable car. It is our local mountain, but a few years since I had travelled to the top.

I love the structure and how those little wires are strong enough to hold up the car and people. Amazing.

I am so glad we eventually took the trip. We had been talking about it for at least a year and now we have realised it is not big problem. A short car ride and ascend to the top in 20 minutes. The structure is fascinating. I remember when it was built, and we could see the new pylons from a distance as they were placed on the route.

I took quite a few photos, it is a fascinating theme. It is a very modern technical construction.

Only a photographer would be looking at the mechanics rather than the scenery LOL! Well chosen for the week.
