How do you like to spend a rainy day?
Indoors, watching the rain falling outside, perhaps with a camera – you never know what might happen.
Where’s your favorite place to take out-of-town guests?
If you are talking food, we like to go to an Italian Restaurnt. It has a garden outside and is near the bank of the local river. The food is good, fresh and their ravioli and pasta dishes are made by the company. It is a chain organisation, with a restaurant in most towns. I don’t think they actually make the pasta on the premises, but it is definitely delivered fresh daily.
If you are talking sights to see, I leave it up to the visitor. Someone might want to take a walk through the ravine where our hermit lives (although the job is vacant at the moment) and others prefer a walk along the river or up to the local mountain Weissenstein in a gondola. My only favourite choice is the restaurant, otherwise there are so many places to visit where I live. A walk in the local town is also very interesting.
List at least five favorite treats. (They do not have to be sugary).
Something fishy, like prawn salad
Cadbury’s Milk Flakes – an english chocolate branch, nice and crumbly*
*The chocolate items must come straight from the fridge, I like them cold.
You are trapped in an elevator, who would you want to be trapped with?
I have only ever been trapped once in an elevator and that was in a department store in the local town with 5-6 other ladies. There was not a problem of being forever trapped, we rung the bell and was informed over the loudspeaker not to worry, someone was dealing with the problem. The only problem I had was lack of oxygen to the brain cells and feeling faint. One lady said I was looking very pale. Suddenly the lift moved and we arrived at the ground floor and the doors opened. In this case I would hope that a qualified doctor with his bag of medicine would be trapped with me. Even Brad Pitt would be no help in that situation.
Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
No. 1 son departed for his 2 week holiday in Italy on Saturday and now it is just Mr. Swiss and me for the next two weeks. My son is no problem, but there is a little less planning around meals. We eat what we feel like and when we feel like it. There are too many appointments this week, but only for a couple of days. I had a nice day on Saturday when we visited the local morning fruit and veg market, but we have no plans for this week, which is the good thing about holiday time.
