What do you do when you’re not working? If you are retired, what do you that is not part of your regular daytime routine?
Retired, ah yes, that is when you work and get a state pension for it. So what do I do in my spare time? Sit on the computer and write blogs, although that has become part of my daily routine, but only half an hour when I eat breakfast and in the late afternoon. Oh yes, I have two cameras and lots of lens to play with, so I might go for a walk with my camera and take a few photos, or many photos. I usually take the “normal” lens when going for a walk and not the zoom in the photo. If we decide to take a trip up a mountain somewhere by car, then I usually have the zoom and the normal lens. I also read on my Kindle. I love the Amazon way of reading life. Choose a book online and upload it. Come to think of it, I am more busy now than when I was a working woman.
What would you do if you won the lottery?
No idea really. I suppose I would get the newest iPhone 8, although I don’t know if it is available yet. I heard it has a good camera on it. I have two computers and do not need a new one. I would probably invest in one of those wide range lens for my camera. No world trip or new house? No, I am quite happy doing what I am doing now. It is nice to have enough money to know you can afford what you would like or need, but you cannot buy health or happiness. I am happy and I manage ok with my health. You always get a seat on the train when you walk with a cane and if you want to cross the road the traffic stops for you – what could be better.
What makes you laugh the most?
I have a very nice shade of black humour – just a typical example: the comedian Dave Allen in his sketch where there is only one place left at the cemetery. I always have a good laugh at that one.
What is your biggest pet peeve with modern technology?
That it is constantly being renewed when it is not broken. You have a super good system that you get used to and suddenly they make a so-called improvement which is really not necessary and usually confusing.
What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
My new discovery to take a walk in the evening when the weather is pleasant, not too hot. Fewer people on the trails and have a real relaxed photo session on the way.
