Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Gardens

Waltham Abbey 15.07 (7)

Part of the gardens of Waltham Abbey in England.

Wild flowers

Often the wild meadows (we have one opposite our garden) have a natural beauty of their own. The flowers just grow every year, they spread their seeds and are then mowed down. The next year they appear again. And if you have a lilac tree in the middle, all the better.

Solothurn 05.04 (21)

A public garden in our local town, Solothurn, Switzerland. In the background is the concert hall and on the right out of the picture, would be the museum.

    • Luckily we don’t have to cut them. It is all organized. The cuttings are afterwards dried into hay for the farmers to feed their cattle during the winter. Nothing is wasted.
