How many languages do you you speak?
Fluent: English, Cockney English, German, Swiss German
Quite Good: French and Italian
Do my best to get through on: Russian (spent 12 years learning)
and I sort of understand Spanish, but do not speak it very well.
What are you reading, watching, listening to, eating?
Reading: my current book is “Eric” by Terry Pratchett (No. 9 in the Discworld series)
Watching: Sitting at the computer looking out the window
At the moment we are under renovation until October, and the ladder to the scaffolding begins in my garden – super view, on the left our green container for garden rubbish.
Listening to: the bird song outside
Eating: Nothing at the moment, but in a few minutes it will be tea time. Mr. Swiss work. He prepares the evening food and I do lunch. Looks like it will be various cold cuts and cheese with tomato and cucumber.
What was the last photo you took with your phone?
The above photo for this Challenge. I often take photos with my phone. My online photo programme, Flickr, automatically uploads them immediately, so it is useful for quick photos for my writing. They arrive private, and I can make the necessary alterations afterwards naming them and putting them in files and making them public for everyone to see.
What is your favorite time of day?
That is a difficuilt one. Morning when I arrive in the kitchen, make breakfast, fire up the computer, or perhaps during the morning if I go shopping, when they let me out. Afternoons are also quite good if I have no cleaning programme. I might go for a walk with my camera, or just blog around. Of course I enjoy the evening, relax in a chair and read on my Kindle. I think at the age of 70 you no longer have favourite times of the day, you are just glad to be able to enjoy the day and survive until the next one.
What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? Last week I at last removed the remainders of the growing bird seed from the garden. I have a bird feeder during the Winter and all the seeds that drop from the table begin to grow in Spring. We have had some wet weather, so the growing various grasses were easy to remove.
I am looking forward to a dentist visit on Thursday – not. Although the dentists only do their job, an expensive job. I only have to have my teeth cleaned up and no big repair work. Otherwise I no longer really do looking forward, life goes on and I am glad to be able to tell everyone about it at the beginning of next week again.
