I had to keep the colour of the yoke, otherwise it looked so unappetising.

Retired and Enjoying Every Minute of It
I am Ahmed Abdi, a Wordpress blogger and storyteller who searches for stories that inspire people. I love writing because it’s a reflection of how I perceive the world around me. Lost in a world of endless chaos in my childhood, Unforgettable moments of tragedy and triumphs taught me the art of storytelling where I found myself through letter writing and then turned into stories but then sadly had lost everything I wrote for years. In 2018, I decided to create a Wordpress blog site that would allow me to store and retrieve every piece. Stories from my community, city and people are what make my writing so interesting and inspiring! I’m a tea lover so a cup of tea sometimes makes my blog.

I love the effect of the yolk in Colour: so funky & artistic!
And those Easter eggs: lovely!

The East egg tree belongs to my neighbour and looks very good in her garden. At least the yoke didn’t break when I fried it.

I hear you about the egg yolk – the more I try to keep it intact is the time I break it. It never breaks when I’m frying it over easy, when it’s going to get smushed anyways.

You mean gray eggs and ham???

Gray eggs must be something American, I have never heard the expression before, but I fry the egg in butter and might also fry ham with it.

It was a take on the Seuss book “Green Eggs and Ham.” I was making a joke about the black and white photo prompt. Green not possible, only grey.. but yours an improvement!

Seuss is not so read in Switzerland and I was probably not awake enough. Am still hugging my bed with my IPad.

Food doesn’t always translate well in black and white. Glad you kept the colorful yolk. Wonderful gallery for this week. 😀

I just could not ignore the yolk, and no-one wants a fried egg with a mud coloured yoke.
