Ever ran out of gas in your vehicle?

Not unexpectedly, that would be a worst scene situation. I had a driving pause of 1-2 years and am now driving regularly again, but not without making sure that Mr. Swiss has left me the car with a full tank. I am not even sure if I would know how to operate the pump or what sort of gas I would need. Something about lead free I think.

Which are better: black or green olives?

I am not a great olive fan, do not mind them, but the colour makes no difference. I am more for size, and the greek olives win for me, they are bigger.

If you were a great explorer, what would you explore?

The Sargasso sea would be an interesting place to explore. To discover why so many planes disappear over the sea and why so many ships are found there without crew members still with sails set. And of course, the burning question of all time: What came first, the chicken or the egg.

I never really had a favourite quote, so did a search and found three that appeal to me

“My goal this weekend is to move… just enough so people don’t think I’m dead.” What a lovely idea.

“What’s the best thing about living in Switzerland? The flag is a big plus.” – couldn’t resist that one.

“It is a far far better thing to do now than I have ever done”  when I bought a new computer.

Last week: That I could drive the car without any problems.

Looking forward to nothing in particular, but that is the pleasure of life – no stress, just take it as it comes.

  2. I lived in Israel for 9 years. I do not like olives. People kept telling me I was living in the wrong country because you can’t live there and not love olives. Since I also didn’t like the sun, I eventually agreed and went home.

    • Olives are no big thing with me. I eat them but do not actually die for them. I used to love the sun, couldn’t get enough of it, probably because we had very little in London. Today I prefer sitting in the shade. Must be an age thing.

    • Up to now no problems. I am actually beginning to like driving again. Am quite proud of myself.
      I am not a quote person butt every Swiss knows about the big plus. I got the first quote from my cat 🙂

      • I’m proud of you, too. You have overcome a lot of obstacles. I think you’re one tough cookie and that’s a good thing. I have to have my driver’s license renewed in August and my eyes are determined to be my big obstacle on getting that done. We’ll see how it goes.

        Cats are pretty smart “people”. 🙂

    • Am no longer so sure about Switzerland first. Today the große Kammer and Natinalrat decided golden oldies will not get an increase in their AHV. We can hope that it is fake news. And now to an after lunch sleep 🙂
