They are limes in the local supermarket, but perhaps not as electric as they should be, just in between – so many shades of lime, one must be electric.

Retired and Enjoying Every Minute of It
I am Ahmed Abdi, a Wordpress blogger and storyteller who searches for stories that inspire people. I love writing because it’s a reflection of how I perceive the world around me. Lost in a world of endless chaos in my childhood, Unforgettable moments of tragedy and triumphs taught me the art of storytelling where I found myself through letter writing and then turned into stories but then sadly had lost everything I wrote for years. In 2018, I decided to create a Wordpress blog site that would allow me to store and retrieve every piece. Stories from my community, city and people are what make my writing so interesting and inspiring! I’m a tea lover so a cup of tea sometimes makes my blog.

They resemble ‘kazi tenga,’ a variety of seedless lemon found in Assam, India

We only get limes or lemons in Europe and they are not seedless.

these lemons are indigenous to assam/nort-east india only. we cannot find them anywhere in in India. they grow upto 3-4 inches in height and 1and half inches in breadth. they are juicy and you can chew them with the rind, the rind is sweet and not bitter has anti-cancerous properties also.

Those limes sound very interesting. I have never heard of them and I am sure they are a delicacy, especially as they seem to be a speciality of your area. Now I have learnt something new.

That’s so funny that you should describe limes as electric. I’ve often seen them that way!
Neat!

The lime colour can be quite iridescent – I was looking for a photo and entered the word lime and came up with this photo that I once took in the supermarket thinking “it might come up useful one day”.

I really love looking at everyone’s entries for these color words! Yours for electric lime is just great. Limes are so funny to me; I used to think they were a poor excuse for a lemon. I always want to buy them when I see them in the store looking so brightly green. Finally, I found out you make mojitos with them. Very good! Comments are so much fun: fascinating about Indian limes, love the idea of chewing the rind.

Although when you discover that there are about 10 versions of green, it can get complicated to find the correct green. However it keeps me awake searching through my photos. I also found the indian limes interesting.
