Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Music

<Music Leue 039

When you are married to a musician, a drummer, then there are always photos of music in your collection. Here is Mr. Swiss on drums with others playing in a local restaurant in our town.

Morrocan Musicians

A groups of musicians in Marrakesh, Morocco that played when we were enjoying an evening in a bedouin tent.
Organ of St. Urs Cathedral, Solothurn

The organ in the St.Urs cathdral in the neighbouring town of Solothurn in Switzerland. I remember when I took the photo, as the organist was playing at the time.

  1. All greats shots … but WOW — that is some organ! I’ve seen a lot of big pipe organs, but that has to be the most elaborate and magnificent I’ve seen to date. It must sound like something from another world.

    • I was in the cathedral taking some photos and suddenly heard the organ. It seems the organist was having a practice and I was really there at the right time. Solothurn is where the bishop of Basel resides, and he is an important guy it seems in the Swiss catholic church, so we have the best for him.

It was in this cathedral that we had the big wedding of Thomas Borer, the Swiss Ambassdor for Germany, and Shawn Fielding an American lady who was Miss Dallas and Mrs. Texas. It was quite a turn out and all over the Swiss news, and certainly a big thing for our little market town of Solothurn. Since they are divorced. Now and again she appears as a guest on a Swiss TV talk, with her very bad german and thick american accent. Thomas Borer is now a business advisor. I think he made a wrong choice somewhere.
