Something completely different, the christmas amaryllis are now opening their flowers and I found this one particularly attractive. I used to have an amaryllis every year, someone would always give me one as a gift. Perhaps I should revive the custom, they are very attractive and do not need a lot of care. I remember the main problem was that they got so heavy when the flower opened, they would lose their balance and topple over.
All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain!

Beautiful. I have couple of paper whites and amaryllis growing on my desk. They probably won’t bloom until January sometime which is what I wanted. Get some fresh flowers that time of year.
