They appear in the shops here in June, small and with buds. I bought a few some years ago. They were small and compact. A year later they grew back again, but about three times the original height, and full of buds. I now have them here and there in my garden, and even have a border. They are rewarding and no problem. They surprised me the in their second year that the little plants from the gardening shop became quite tall.
