Weekly Writing Challenge: Haiku Catchoo!

Your mission is to write five haikus

Door in Solothurn

Begin with a plunge
Cleaning windows on Monday
Makes for clarity

Excitement arrives
Seeing clearly with new eyes
Pick up spectacles

Supermarket calls
A battle for the taste buds
Dearly purchased food

Let it blog today
Haikus are numbing my thoughts
in syllable counts

Unknown tomorrow
stimulates thoughts, finally
My haikus are done

    • Thankyou so much. To be quite honest Haiku is really not my thing, so there is still hope for me. I was sitting here counting the syllables on my fingers, hoping that it all fits.

  4. well done. And they are linked, too, which is nice.

I always count the syllables. Haikus are fun–like villanelles–because they bind your hands, and make your other limbs work harder!!

I aspire to a truly Dylanesque villanelle before I die. 😉

(might as well shoot for the stars!)
