“As the great Oscar Wilde Cat said “The optimist sees the donut, the pessimist sees the hole.” Mice live in holes, you can eat mice, but not the holes so forget the donut, meaning the grass and earth. Concentrate on the mouse. We felines might be pessimists, but we eat the mice and not the grass and earth; just a matter of perception.”

“That sounds very philosophical Tabby. I did not realise that you had achieved a higher level in feline psychology.”“We felines are not stupid Mrs. Human, life is not just about tuna fish and catching birds and mice. There is a deeper meaning as the great Nikolai Gogol Purr said “Always think of what is useful and not what is beautiful. Beauty will come of its own accord.”“Which means Tabby?”

“Birds are useful if you are hungry, who cares about the colour of their feathers. You cannot eat the feathers, it is the inside values they have: the meat. It is just a matter of how you perceive the subject. ”
