Daily Prompt: Shipwrecked

Read the story of Richard Parker and Tom Dudley. Is what Dudley did defensible? What would you have done?

At least this lot on the photo of the grave achieved something almost.  They set out to climb a mountain, did not achieve their goal and are now buried together in the Central Cemetery in Vienna, the largest cemetry in Europe. I am a cemetry tourist and I took this photo some years ago.

But honestly it is not worth the time or effort to write about what I think of Tom Dudley’s idea of killing his coleague and eating him to survive because food supplies were running low. Is this really a serious challenge, are we really suppose to waste time thinking about it. Sorry, but this is not a challenge that appeals to me. It just prompts me to wonder if the ideas are running out for our daily prompt, which I generally enjoy doing.

So this is a short daily prompt today, I do have better things to do with my time – like a Tai Chi practice and a translation for a friend of mine. Wasting time writing about cannibals is not my idea of a pleasant way to spend time on a blog.

I usually do a backup with my daily blogs on Blogger as I have a few friends there as well, but today I am not bothering. They might get the impression I am losing it completely.
